Veuve Clicquot celebrates 250 years of sun-filled champagne with Belmond


FOR 2024, Veuve Clicquot presents Solaire Journeys, three once-in-a-lifetime experiences on board the world’s most iconic trains.

Taking inspiration from its famous ‘sunshine’ yellow, the iconic champagne house invites guests to ‘follow the sun’ on unforgettable journeys in Asia, Europe and South America.

Veuve Clicquot x Belmond – Solaire Journey

Founded in Reims in 1772, the house of Veuve Clicquot remains faithful to its motto: “Only one quality, the finest”, a motto reflected perfectly on board Veuve Clicquot’s unique Solaire Journeys.

The bespoke experiences are hosted aboard four legendary Belmond trains, the Eastern & Oriental Express (Southeast Asia), Venice Simplon-Orient-Express (Europe), Hiram Bingham and Andean Explorer (Latin America).

Veuve Clicquot x Belmond – Solaire Journey

The first Solaire Journey is Veuve Cliquot’s Malaysia jungle line aboard Southeast Asia’s most luxurious train. The completely restyled Eastern & Oriental Express, offers a cinematic journey from Singapore to Penang and Kuala Lumpur, through the untouched landscapes of the Taman Negara National Park. The journey finishes with exploring the colourful island of Penang and a gala dinner.

Veuve Clicquot x Belmond – Solaire Journey

The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express will take guests from Vienna to Reims, the historic capital of champagne, home of Veuve Clicquot. The second Solaire Journey will travel through Europe’s enchanting landscapes and historic cities before arriving in Reims for an immersive gastronomic experience, orchestrated by world renowned starred chefs Jean Imbert & Mory Sacko.

Veuve Clicquot x Belmond – Solaire Journey

Two Belmond trains, the Hiram Bingham and the Andean Explorer will see guests embark on an extraordinary expedition to captivating archaeological sites and awe-inspiring natural wonders.

The trip begins at Palacio Nazarenas in Cusco with an incredible dinner in the Monasterio chapel, before boarding on a unique journey to Arequipa, where guests will indulge in Peruvian culinary delights while taking in the enchanting beauty of the Peruvian Andes from open deck observatories.

Each trip will have its own unique signature, a perfect way to make memories that each guest will treasure forever.
