Wang Qingsong at Beetles + Huxley


This September, Beetles + Huxley will showcase a retrospective of Wang Qingsong’s works. The artist works primarily in photography and film, creating cinematic and darkly humorous works. They are known for their massive scale, deep symbolism, and careful staging, exploring the milieu of contemporary China.

His works have been received with widespread praise, and have been shown in galleries and museums across the world. The London gallery has released a video trailer in anticipation of the exhibition, which can be viewed below.

In addition, the gallery has also created a behind-the-scenes video revealing the scale and intricacy of Wang’s works.
