THE COLLABORATION between French design stronghold Dior and Venice Beach based ERL has proved to be a match made in heaven, translated through an effortlessly cohesive capsule that aligns Kim Jones’ visual language with a breezy Californian attitude sincerely.

Inspired by the west coast, motifs of waves travel across sweatshirts and bermuda shorts, as Jones and Eli Russell Linnetz marry their creative sensibilities to produce a seasoned collection preempting hot summer nights and high-glamour affairs.
The cannage pattern, synonymous with the Lady Dior bag, is reinvented on fur pullovers, quilted down jackets and satin puffer sneakers, both contrasting yet complimenting the psychedelic oceanic motifs frequented by the American design house.

The clothing makes enough of a statement in itself, but the accessories are a true standout of the capsule. Winged caps are veiled with fishnet and grosgrain ribbon, accompanied by logomania chain jewellery and baguette style chokers. Bags are yet another hero addition to the collection and are what perfectly translate the two houses aesthetic further. From the quilted tote bags to the to the exclusive golden metal and quartz “men’s minaudiere” rendition of the saddle bag, the latest creations are a collectors daydream.
