Wood Wood Takes Us To The Highlands for Fall 2026

WOOD Wood travels into the Highlands for its Autumn/ Winter 2026 collection, where vast silence, shifting skies, and unexpected encounters shape Field Studies. The collection explores the tension between rural communities and outside visitors, the known and the unknown, with inspiration drawn from rugged landscapes, unexplained light phenomena, and the subtle eeriness often felt by city dwellers in small, traditional villages.

“We approached the Nordic Highlands as first-time visitors,” notes Brian SS Jensen, Creative Director of Wood Wood. “There’s something disarming about arriving as an outsider—the colours, the silence, the surprises in the landscape—and that sense of  discovery guided us throughout.”

Gitte Wetter, Head of Design, adds that, “We observed the terrain like a field study, documenting its textures, colours and patterns,  letting the environment lead us.” The result is a collection built around contrast. Traditional tartans are reworked with a Nordic twist; textured outerwear and fleece editions bring warmth; and modern outdoor elements meet classic silhouettes.

Woollen outerwear, artistic checks, rich knitwear,  and technical puffers define a collection rooted in movement and ease. Shapes remain relaxed and elongated, creating a considered contrast between rural heritage and contemporary Nordic design. Camouflage appears in subtle purple-brown hues, while oversized coats, padded, cropped jackets, two-tone knitwear, and 1970s shearling-collared leathers define the season’s silhouette. And a new straight denim with a slight flare sits alongside scruffed classic-inspired fits and heavier loose models.

The colour palette mirrors the landscape, such as pine greens, earthy browns, washed plums punctuated by soft pinks, sharp purples and bright olives. Fabrics bring depth through bouclé, alpaca mixes, updated seersucker, crispy cotton, corduroy, Italian weaves, and technical polyesters. This season’s graphic language introduces “Radio Silence,” referencing the stillness of the woods through amateur radio cues, and  “Chasing Views,” a typographic nod to outdoor enthusiasts as well as some engagement seekers.

Checks and clashing patterns energise the range,  alongside heavy cotton knits, lumberjack overshirts, and padded nylon coach jackets. Colours go deeper, with lime green pops offset by lavender and beige. Prints referencing orientation and navigation echo the season’s spirit of exploration, while washed caps and new nylon accessories broaden the Double A universe.
