FOUNDED in Paris in 1971, Gérard Darel is known for an easy French style, strong outerwear and, of course, its signature 24H bag. For Autumn/ Winter 26, the house returns to those familiar codes with leather, suede, knitwear and plenty of rich colour as we head into the new season, with a campaign fronted by the model and actress, Dree Hemingway.

The 24H is central to the collection; this season, the bag comes in jacquard, woven and quilted leather, patchwork and a new GD monogram canvas. This sits alongside printed patches and charms which give the monogram version the feel of a well-travelled piece.
Outerwear has a strong ’70s influence, with the leather jacket appearing in classic black with a wool faux-fur collar, as well as a cleaner, more minimal version. Shearling, leopard print and curly faux fur also feature across crew-neck jackets and bombers; an on-trend military parka comes complete with a faux-fur-trimmed collar.

Suede adds to the vintage mood, from patchwork jackets in warm, contrasting tones to a cropped style worn with the Anna suede jeans and simpler camel shirt-jackets. The trench coat also returns in cotton, wool, vinyl and leather, while knitwear moves between cable-knit twinsets, lace-trimmed ribbed pieces and new versions of the house’s Marilyn knit. Red runs throughout the collection, joined by blues, rosewood, grey, and camel, for an oh-so-French take on cooler-weather dressing.
