THE Beaumont Mayfair, a storied Art Deco dog-friendly boutique hotel moments from the capital’s premier shopping neighbourhoods, has recently undergone a renovation and is celebrating with three new offerings for guests to embrace.
Upon arrival with my puppy Winston, we were warmly welcomed by the doorman and the entire front-of-house staff. Winston is offered freshly poured water from a very smart bowl, and I’m offered a chilled glass of freshly squeezed juice.

The hotel has introduced new amenities for dog owners through a collaboration with luxury dog accessories brand Ruff & Tumble. Four-legged friends will find in their rooms an upholstered dog bed, a coordinating Beaumont Mayfair pillow, a dog-drying coat, a food and water bowl, and a selection of dog treats.
It was so refreshing to take Winston into all the hotel’s public areas without being reprimanded, including the newly launched Rosi.

Rosi, named after the hotel owner’s beloved wife Rosemary, has been reimagined from the American-style steakhouse, The Colony Bar & Grill, into a brighter and lighter, more relaxed restaurant by Michelin-starred British chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen. The menu includes modern British comfort food with a seasonal core.
On our arrival, Winston is again offered water and is warmly welcomed as a dignified guest. I settle for a bottle of Mahi red from New Zealand, ordering a silky-smooth white onion velouté with a Westcombe Cheddar toastie as a starter, followed by an immaculately prepared Dover sole with a side of creamed spinach and crispy on the outside and soft in the middle triple-cooked chips. Delicious.
For dessert, I select a build-your-own sundae with two scoops of chocolate ice cream and caramel sauce, topped off with whipped cream, despite the lure of a warm orange sponge with grand Marnier flambé, which would have been a more dramatic option. Nevertheless, my extravagant choice, which has remained on the menu since the Colony days, did not disappoint.

In the morning, Winston and I take a short walk over to Grosvenor Square’s new biodiverse, climate-resilient urban garden with over 150,000 new plants and trees bang opposite the former American Embassy. Following a sumptuous buffet breakfast back at the hotel, I head to the renovated Beaumont Spa, a peaceful subterranean sanctuary offering extensive facilities, including a hammam, steam room, sauna, ice bar, and plunge pool, which is a hugely popular destination for locals as well as guests staying at The Beaumont.

The spa’s new product range, Salvaterra, combines advanced scientific innovations with rare botanicals from the Amazon rainforest, providing sustainable skincare solutions by Penny Adaarewa. My hour-long Salvaterra facial with Sylvie, the talented spa manager, begins with an intentional, slow, relaxing breathwork exercise before manual lymphatic drainage is undertaken to rejuvenate my skin and decrease any puffiness, followed by a wonderfully gratifying facial massage. I leave feeling refreshed – and with my skin glowing.

The Beaumont Mayfair’s new offerings demonstrate its commitment to continue to provide unparalleled luxury and personalized experiences for every one of its guests, ensuring a memorable stay for both discerning patrons and, of course, their beloved dogs.
