New Model Army – Glass meets Phoebe Summer

Phoebe Summer 2

Name: Phoebe Summer
Agency: Profile Model Management
Age: 18
Hometown: Farnham, Surrey

1. How did you become a model?
I was scouted by a few agencies at the age of 13 so Mum took me to a few test shoots and it went from there… but because I was still at school, I only ever worked during school holidays until I finished my A levels, when I signed with Profile and went full time.

2. Who is your favourite designer?
I love the Moschino SS15 collection coming out next season and Paul Costelloe – I was so excited to walk in his show this year!

3. What do you wear on your days off?
Usually comfy jeans, an oversized jumper and really fluffy socks!

4. What book, movie or song means the most to you?

Postcards by James Blunt is such an old song but it reminds me of what a perfect summer I had, spent with my friends, family and boyfriend. It’s a song we always listen to on the way to the beach!

5. Who are your heroes in life?
My parents have been so supportive, and also my grandma, who recently passed away, was always the one to remind me Phoebe Summer 2that life should be fun, and not taken too seriously. She taught me to stand on my own two feet.

6. What is your present state of mind?

I feel quite content with my life, happy about the people in it and looking forward to a hopefully exciting future.

7. What is your idea of happiness?

Happiness is when you feel like no matter what happens at that moment, nothing could ruin your mood! Usually when everyone else around me is happy.

 8. How would you like to be perceived by others?
Hopefully as a happy and genuine person, I have been told that I’m quite easy to read by the expressions on my face so there is never anything I can hide.

9. If you were not a model, what would you be?

I have been dancing since the age of two, so maybe a dance teacher or assistant. I would maybe go to university but I can’t decide what I would want to study.

10. What advice do you have for other models?
You shouldn’t compare yourself to anyone, you are your own unique person with your own unique look! It’s a very busy and overwhelming business so make sure you recognise and enjoy the real positives from it 🙂
