Rouge Noir, the iconic nail polish launched by Chanel 20 years ago, has big and bold plans for its birthday celebrations.

This cult colour, as Chanel as it gets, has had a make-up collection Rouge Noir Absolument launched in its honour, and is just in time for the 2015 holiday season. The Rouge Noir colour palette focuses on vibrant hues, from powdery sparkling finishes to dazzling high shine.

The beautiful eye palette consists of four shadows – beige, parma violet, rouge noir and smouldering gold – all with a quilted surface upon which a double C is stamped, lest one forgets that we are dealing with the glamorous house of Chanel here.

For the face, the fine-textured illuminator creates a halo of light, perfect for contouring to give a translucent and radiant effect, which can be used on cheekbones, between brows or sparingly on the chin.

Other sumptuous products within the collection include Rouge Noir volume mascara in deep garnet enhanced with black, giving party eyes an ever-so-intense and glamorous feel. The eyeliner also makes a welcome addition to the makeup bag as it is a daring alternative to black.

In addition, two delicate lipglosses are included within the Rouge Noir Absolument collection as well as two lipsticks – Rouge Allure, a light pink shade with a hint of parma violet and Rouge Allure Velvet, a deep raspberry red.

And finally, to remind you that it’s Christmas time all over again, the Lamé Rouge Noir topcoat enhances nails with golden sparkles. Happy days!
