DESIGNER, Holly Fulton, came back to London Fashion Week after a one-year hiatus. Debuting her SS18 collection at the Institute of Contemporary Arts we definitely missed her.
According to Fulton, the collection was a “Memphis, Biba, Deco mash-up”. The collection had a strong 1960s hippy feel to it. With only 13 looks this season, the garments followed well with each other.
Black and white and orange, Grecian and Zebra prints were seen throughout the collection.
Plums, pinks, checks and chandelier jewellery and designs conformed to the familiar ‘60s style.
A Glass favourite was the plum and orange fitted cardigan paired with large black flares with a white ancient Greek vase design running down the middle. The model wore thick block colour bangles, a metal, statement necklace and a headband to tame the classic 60s curly hair. Another favourite was the knitted, turtleneck, knee-length dress with zebra calf-length socks with jewelled embellishments.
Holly Fulton’s collection was classic and familiar and was well worth the wait.
