Alaïa collaborates with Rare Books Paris for exclusive pop-ups

NEW FOR this winter, the luxury Parisian brand Alaïa is partnering with Rare Books Paris to deliver some of its sought-after books to the eclectic streets of London and Paris.

Rare Books is renowned for selling limited edition, out-of-print publications alongside some of fashion and art’s most important iconography.

From November 27th to January 4th, Rare Books Paris will arrive in Alaïa’s Paris Marignan location and also its London New Bond Street boutique.

Since being established in 1964, Azzedine Alaïa – founder of Alaïa – always sought to merge fashion with various different creative practices. Now, Pieter Mulier, creative director of Alaïa, is carrying on his dream and has tapped into the art of literature for this winter.

An exclusive selection of books curated by Mulier will be available in two separate pop-up stores. Furthermore, alongside the literary offerings, customisable pure leather Alaïa bookmarks are available – perfect for any book lover.

Speaking on the importance of print publications, Pieter Mulier said: “Books lead to beauty. They are our best allies, and our most precious legacy. One of the objects I own and cherish the most is a book on Le Corbusier that used to belong to my grandfather.”

The new pop-ups are now open to the public and are a must-visit for any fashionable bibliophiles.
