COOLER months call for Fusalp – the luxury ski and fashion brand that prides itself on its stylish technical clothing ability.
This season, the collection caters to winter sports enthusiasts and urbanites alike, as Creative Director Mathilde Lacoste channels a ‘70s vibe, and Fusalp’s heritage from that decade. As such, expect vibrant colourways that are part retro, part futuristic, inspired by French architect and designer Charlotte Perriand, who sought simplicity and efficiency, in harmony with the mountain environment.

On the line, Mathilde says, “This collection celebrates a glamorous yet functional look where aesthetics meets functionality with modernity. By playing with the fundamental stylistics’ codes of the brand, I wanted to create hyper-structured pieces of clothing using elasticity-processed nylon, tailorships and fabrics excellence for a comfortable and stylssed silhouette.”

Founded in 1952, the Annecy-based Maison has built a reputation for offering technical skiwear excellence, and this know-how has been combined with a sense of playfulness, and glamour with a collection that’s thoroughly practical too, thanks to the durable, breathable fabrications. This season, jackets are also equipped with RECCO technology for avalanche localisation.

The cool classic charm continues in ‘70s ski styles—flattering ensembles for women, mixing short, snug jackets with high-waisted pants and jumpsuits, punctuated with faux fur and shearling. The iconic smock is back, of course, donning a linear baguette iteration complete with a printed diamond motif.
‘Couture’ colourways have been applied to the line with muted shades of oxygen and latte sitting alongside chic black and white, punchy green, racing red, and orange for a dynamic palette.

From sporty days to après-ski, continuing the retro theme, the ready-to-wear also combines a touch of the motocross look that is often found in skiwear, cue body-hugging knits, flared pants and bands of bold colour to finish. There are accessories too, including visored caps, backpacks and bags (crafted from 3D diamond-patterned nylon and leather) that are attachable to clothing, backpacks, or each other.
