AT.KOLLEKTIVE has just shared their fourth season featuring leather designs by up-and-coming esteemed guest designers Kiko Kostadinov, Peter Do and Nina Christen.
The trio are known for their boundary-pushing and innovative artistry, with their collections being the second season they have collaborated with At.Kollektive.
Kiko Kostadinov’s capsule, designed by sisters Laura and Deanna Fanning, touches on the thematics of a dialogue between the ancient and the futuristic, conceptualised during their visit to At.Kollektive’s tanneries where they were met with innovative and precise leather technologies.
Futurism materialises through curvilinear lines and space-age formations, creating a soft style sole on Kostadinov’s Jemison shoe. The collection showcases various pieces demonstrating themes of science-fiction and utilitarianism.
As for Peter Do’s capsule, the looks consider unisex pieces introduced in his previous season but on this occasion with a focus on sharpening the silhouettes. The collection also sees his multi-faceted sneaker Hybrid, appropriate for day-to-night wearing, reimagined using leather to develop a unique texture to the shoe. The Hybrid line also introduced new additions of a ballerina and loafer shoe.
The final designer of the trio, Nina Christen, brought out the Boxing Boot made from Nappa leather inspired by the sport for her contribution to At.Kollektive this season.
The looks ooze creative freedom with all designers allowed the opportunity to work at At.Kollektive’s leather workshops, run by their parent company ECCO, for their collections.
“It’s the second collection for all the contributors this season, and you can see the inspiration they get from what we can do in the tanneries – the colour options and finishes of the leather. This calibre of innovation spurs designers’ vision, resulting in truly unique pieces.” — Panos Mytaros ECCO, CEO
