BRITISH visionary shoemaker Nicholas Kirkwood has teamed up with luxury Italian brand Bulgari for a new collection. Swapping shoes for Serpenti Forever accessories, the partnership is a fresh take on the stylish bags featuring the signature enamelled snakehead clasp. First ignited by Kirkwood’s visit to Rome, the designer explored both the Bulgari jewellery atelier and their Serpenti Form exhibition which understood the reptile’s influence on fashion.

The 14-piece capsule features bold remixing of materials such as rubber and chrome that modernises the pieces while still keeping in line with the heritage of the brand. The consistency of chevron patterning appearing on each bag makes for a recognisable collection. Created in Kirkwood’s favourite colours and a palette inspired by gemstones used by the jewellers in the Italian capital, the collaboration will be available in selected Bulgari stores worldwide.
