Dior x Rimowa collaborate on luxury travel capsule collection

RIMOWA has teamed up with Dior for the ultimate luggage collaboration, just in time for the leading label’s 2020 summer men’s shows.

Designed by Artistic Director Kim Jones, Dior has collaborated with the classic German travel brand Rimowa infusing a range of backpacks, cases, hand luggage and contemporary travel accessories with the savior-faire and modern luxe approach that Dior’s men’s universe has been lauded for.

Jones is “thrilled” to be working with Rimowa , and – ever the traveller – is particularly excited to be able to have an amazing Dior and Rimowa suitcase to travel with, as “I set off on my global adventures.”

Perhaps the most appealing and refreshing addition to the collaboration is the inclusion of a one-of-a-kind champagne case, that is specifically designed to hold a bottle of Dom Pérignon. Not only that – the interior of the case is exclusively structured to hold six Dior Maison champagne flutes and coasters. If that doesn’t make you want to travel in style, what will?

And for the Dior die-hards, don’t worry: this collection will feature the timeless Dior oblique motif, stamped directly onto the famous Rimowa aluminium skin of the pieces, making these pieces an enviable blend of two iconic houses, while still paying homage to their heritage.
