Overseen by Dr Marcus Mohr, each carefully curated detail of the eggs has been explored through new and innovative measures to bring the historical craftsmanship of the house to the 21st century. Consciously focusing on the craft of guilloché enamelling by keeping the heart of the process largely the same as it has been for the last 130 years.

The Fabergé 18k Yellow Gold Red Guilloché Enamel Egg Objet with Wild Strawberry Surprise is decorated with a dynamic red guilloché enamel shell and reveals a sweet strawberry sitting upon an 18k yellow gold guilloché base. The leaves are enamelled in green and at the core is a single flower, capturing six Akoya cultured pearl petals with a yellow sapphire centre. Standing 75mm high, the egg sits on carved aventurine and includes a responsibly sourced Gemfields Mozambican cabochon ruby button.

Fabergé Making of an Egg Objet

The Fabergé 18k Yellow Gold Blue Guilloché Enamel Egg Objet with Water Lily Surprise features a responsibly sourced Gemfields Zambian emerald square cut button and lies upon nephrite base. The waterlily is from a hand-carved Peruvian pink opal set with diamonds and 18k yellow gold and is placed on a leaf which has been enamelled in a dark green colour. Both eggs feature a fluted gold bottom which is a signature motif of Fabergé.

Continuously looking to nature for inspiration, most famously seen in their iconic Winter Egg of 1913, the collection is set to reopen the fascinating representation of blooms and wildlife in the modern day.
