Glass discovers Bulgari Omnia by Mary Katrantzou

GREEK fashion designer Mary Katrantzou has once again soaked Bulgari in iridescent hues, reimagining the Omnia universe with towering orange blossom tress and blooming wildflowers.

Inspired by the gardenia trees in her childhood home, the fragrance is infused fresh with fig leaf notes with subtle shades of Mediterranean orange blossom. The perfume stirs a flurry of floral richness, instilled with splashes of luminous Mandarin and earthy gardenia. Concocting a harmony of sweetness and spice, the scent is reminiscent of both designers’ unapologetic attitude to design.

Bulgari Omnia by Mary Katrantzou, £87 for 65ml at Selfridges

The perfume is a potent cocktail of florals, fresh fig leaves and zesty favours. I found the perfume opens with a striking and rich aroma of wildflowers, sensitively evolving into a sharp and spicy white musk, which dries into sweet mandarin entwined with sultry gardenia. The scent seeps into the skin, alighting the body in luminous colours and floral accord, that lasts throughout the day.

The bottle is crafted in the same sculptural form as the Omnia fragrances, though this bottle is glossed in a multitude of prismatic colours, as if Mary Katrantzou herself had distilled the colours of the rainbow into one bottle. Each of the colours melt and merge together, evoking the appearance and aroma of a fresh bouquet in this magical perfume.
