IN NO rush to push the brakes, designers Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault went full throttle for KNWLS‘ SS25 collection. Bringing the heat with their largest showing to date, the pair elevated their famed sultry aesthetic with a special collaboration with Tencel offering their cult following a range of high-octane dresses, casual low-slinging waists and fierce cut-outs.
What’s most impressive from this design duo is their ability to take couture techniques and translate them to seriously modern ready-to-wear. Cropped crepes were paired with fascinators made from the best milliner in the business, Stephen Jones, and leather was worked into meticulous corset boning worthy of a mention.
Like all good couture shows, the collection must end with a bride and for their first time, KNWLS took more than just the artistry of the artisans, they closed with a bridal look. Though don’t be too unsure of this digression, this is KNWLS after all and it was a dress made for the woman who wears the trousers.
