In particular, the designer found himself captivated by the inimitable style of Cher, with nods to her most daring looks found throughout Resort: micro-mini dresses dripping with sparking crystal fringes, V-front maxi skirts, fluid sequin gowns and semi-sheer slips with guipure lace trimming.

Crafted in intricate plexiglass petals, an iridescent plumeria flower motif decorated chokers, garter belts and shoulder-length evening gloves, as well as a variety of bleached denim pieces and buttery leather outerwear.

Straying from the stretch bodysuits and scuba neoprene of last season, Resort was a refreshing return to the provocative party wear that has become synonymous with the David Koma label – and it felt just as liberating and modern as ever.
