JAPANESE skin-care brand Shiseido provides a juice cleanse for your face with their WASO reset cleanser squad set.
Confused? It only takes a glance at Shiseido’s packing to understand how juice cleanses inspire the collection, coming in brightly coloured plastic-pouches with three individual cleansers. Undoubtably adorable, this form of packaging is also practical for travelling, while also causing less plastic waste than a conventional cleanser package.

The set includes three cleansers; Wild Garden, Good Vibes, and Romantic Dream, each of which is made specially to to “match your mood.” The first of the bunch, Wild Garden, is made with Okra, something you might associate more with cooking than skincare, but in fact is an ingredient that can contribute vital benefits to your beauty routine. Incredibly nourishing and rich in vitamins A, B, and C, we’re predicting Okra to be the next big trend in skincare. Because of its moisturising properties, we recommend this for dry skin types, or anyone who wants an added boost of hydration.

Next up is Good Vibes, appropriately named with its distinctive crisp citrusy scent. Incorporated with Karin, also known as the Chinese quince fruit, the miracle ingredient contains nutrients, vitamins and minerals that make your skin radiate health. The energising variety of Shiseido’s cleansers, Good Vibes is designed to uplift your mood and wake you up with its sharp, refreshing fragrance – and it certainly delivers. After use, my skin felt clean and hydrated, without stripping away my skin’s essential oils, a common issue I find with fragranced cleansers.

Romantic Dream was tailored with relaxation in mind. The cleanser is made with Kiichigo raspberry, an ingredient known for its firming and anti-aging properties. With application, I soon realised the significance behind the name Romantic Dream, a nod to its gentle sweet and soothing fragrance. Made to help de-stress and unwind, I would recommend this cleanser for removing makeup at the end of the day, in order to fully indulge in its calming benefits.

Each cleanser is also combined with Japanese agar jelly and seaweed moisturising complex, ingredients known for their cleansing properties and high mineral content. Two new ingredients for me in skincare, I was happily surprised by their gentleness and their long-lasting hydration. Definitely a skin-care must for the summer season.
