Glass visits Prada Escape at the Selfridges Corner Shop

WHEN YOU think about rustic camping, countryside activities and the idea of actually visiting the great outdoors, do you ever think: “maybe I should bring a long my favorite Prada piece?” Well if you didn’t, think again. Better yet, have a glimpse inside of the exclusive Prada Escape flagship store located at the Selfridges Corner Shop.

Inspired by themes of journey and adventure, Prada Escape is a special project set on transforming the house’s AW19 Anatomy of Romance collection through a totally new perspective. With over 200 products, the men and women’s ready-to-wear pieces, lifestyle items and accessories are still as high quality as should be expected of a luxury line. But what makes this capsule collection an undeniable showstopper is how each item is also just as high functioning.

Picture eye-catching camouflage prints, epic multi-functioning accessories with drawstrings, roller buckets, rubber jostled boots and more. Everything serves to be as practical as it is pretty to look at. A notable example of this blend between luxury and longevity is the exclusively developed reusable water and thermal bottles, which are of course embossed with the Prada logo. They are totally perfect for a walk in the park or a hiking trip to Macchu Piccu.

Another feature of Prada Escape you simply can’t miss are the unique collaborative pieces. Continuing the trend of catering to the globe trotters of the world, Prada has teamed up with heritage Japanese stationer Midori for a branded version of their signature Traveller’s Notebook as part of a modular system, which also includes pens, stickers and a mini-notebook. And for those who associate travelling with snacking (you are not alone, trust me), look no further than the camo chocolate bar collaboration with Milan’s finest pastry shop, Marchesi 1824.

Camping no longer means you have to go from Prada to nada. If anything, this exclusive capsule collection invites us all to go from Prada to, well, even more Prada. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
