Haute Fourrure 2017: Fendi

FOR only one night, a historical Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris has been transformed by Karl Lagerfeld into a dreamy, mystical place that reminded of a botanical garden full of exceptional flowers. The artistic director of Fendi presented his Haute Fourrure Fall/Winter 2017-18 collection for the brand in ravishing surroundings and welcomed the viewers to explore his otherworldly, yet captivating floral designs.

But what does a garden look like from Lagerfeld’s perspective? It is filled with an unexpected mixture of colours and endless variety of flowers, from daisy or crocus to poppy and rose – all perfectly harmonised with the designs. In addition to presenting such an eye-catching diversity in the use of shade, Fendi was not afraid to play with different materials either. Metallic jacquard was used for coats or dresses, as well as a combination of leather and lace, all lined with imaginary flowers.

The collection is definitely about details and craftsmanship, which created a flawless outcome that allowed the guests to enter a vivid, stimulating world. It also perfectly describes Fendi’s idea of contemporary elegance and sophistication that will suit every modern woman.
