Make-up artist Jessica Smalls makes over model Duckie Thot with Dior Beauty

DIOR luxury beauty and skincare showcase the work of some of the world’s leading makeup artists – including New York-based make-up artist Jessica Smalls. For the 2018 Guggenheim International Gala, the museum’s signature fundraising event, Smalls made over renowned model Duckie Thot, using Dior cosmetics.

Describing inspiration for the look as purple romance, Smalls moisturised with Dior Hydra Life Fresh Hydration Sorbet Creme to moisturise the skin and maintain a dewy glow. Using Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation #9N,  Smalls then sparingly applies #6N under the eyes to brighten. To set the face, she uses Diorskin Forever and Ever Control Loose Powder on the T zone to reduce oiliness, then the Dior Rouge Blush #028 to bring colour to her cheeks.

Finishing off the dreamy, doll-like look, Smalls used Dior 5 Couleur #157 Magnify on eyelids before applying false eyelashes and Diorshow Mascara #090 Pro Black. The final statement of the look is the lips. Applying the Dior Addict Lacquer Stick #794 Gamer On Top, the electric purple shade completes Duckie’s event look.
