MMFW18: Versace

THE Versace fall 2018 menswear show rejuvenated the classic identity of the brand through the eyes of a more youthful perspective and with a focus upon subcultures.

The collection certainly worked an “all eyes on me” policy as a vibrant and experimental colour scheme combined with a mix match of textures stole the show in a bid to celebrate the wild side of individuality.

Sharp tailoring turned fun as two piece suits printed with tartan in all colors felt quirky and daring. A combination of work and play coming effortlessly together to create individual pieces. Alongside the fun element, heritage-printed velvets in everything from trousers, shirts and leggings brought richness and luxury.

The element of homeware brought bracelets made from cutlery and the Amore e Psiche and Sipario print which took over outerwear, silk shirts and suiting. Velvet printed accessories pay reminiscence to curtains and cushions found in the home.

All in all, the varied selection of elements crafted together form the unique personality of the Versace man.
