PFW AW24: Isabel Marant

ISABEL MARANT’S autumn-winter 2024 collection delved into the realm of powerful women and the designer’s most cherished and recognised silhouettes as they meet with the unruly yet seductive nature of the season.

The collection sees layered silhouettes fabricated from knits, leathers and shearlings as some of Marant’s classic pieces are revolutionised.

The garments display a dessert-inspired wanderlust with suedes in camel and light browns, studded belts, bags and jackets, and tasselled fringes adorning accessories and various contours.

As for the splash of menswear, the Marant boys exude a gaucho spirit as they are decked out in animal-printed trousers and belts, oversized fits of brown or red leather-like jackets, alongside suede fringed outerwear and layered khaki trenches paired with suede cowboy-like pointed boots embellished with metal hardware and tassels.

An oversized suede fringed scarf adorned with studs, pearls, and embroidery accompanies countless silhouettes this season and stands as a commitment to craftsmanship as seen paired with various looks from dresses to jackets and figure-hugging leather trousers to leather co ords and oversized coats.

The season’s colour palette is predominantly neutral, with varying shaded browns materialising the silhouettes. However, amongst the simplicity is an alluring luminous red displaying the unsettled nature of the Marant woman, and a Hispanic-permeated soundtrack charges the spaces as an accompaniment to emphasise the notion.

The autumn-winter 2024 Isabel Marant runway show was delectable to the eye with its rendition of Marant’s classic pieces and sensual silhouettes fabricated from luxury fabrics, which compellingly wrapped the hips and waist.
