PFW SS20: Haider Ackermann

THE Columbian-born French designer Haider Ackermann presented his new mixed ready-to-wear SS20 collection during PFW this season. The designer explored fashion beyond gender heavily inspired by the concepts of minimalism and simplicity.

Both male and female models walked the show, presenting the now-iconic androgynous style of the contemporary designer. It was refreshing to see the triumph of serenity and balance in such a fast-paced environment such as fashion week

The collection featured modernised tailor- wear, plissè bandeaus and vibrant pops of colour. Haider Ackermann accentuated the lowered waistline using belts and carefully constructed silhouettes, and the refreshing true steel colour prevailed on the catwalk with bright, colourful accents.

Looks were completed with smart pointed shoes and more relaxed slipper-likee slides. Sleek hairdos and bold bushy eyebrows were the finishing touches for the gender-inclusive collection.
