THE latest instalment of Anthony Vaccarello’s #YSL14 campaign for Saint Laurent continues the playful energy that has influenced the collection. Following the September runway held at the foot of the Eiffel Tower and the video campaign released earlier this year, Vaccarello used actions and movement to give the photos life.

Feathers and ruffles are given extra volume with models jumping into poses and using wind to their advantage. The juxtaposition between lightweight-feminine fabrics and the dominant environment is a representation of the ‘80s influence. The use of a black and white filter emphasises texture and adds a sophisticated edge to the campaign, nodding to Saint Laurent’s Parisian roots.
