Riccardo Tisci invites artist Anne Imhof to collaborate on Burberry’s SS21 show

THE competition to create the best digital experience during this Fashion Week Month has commenced as physical shows are a rarity this season. Always being a few steps ahead of everyone else, Burberry has just announced its collaboration with German visual artist Anne Imhof for the brand’s next show.

So far, the British luxury giant have stated that it is set in the outdoors as a physical presentation open for all to experience digitally via Twitch. Though known for online gaming, the Twitch platform will allow viewers this Thursday to watch from multiple different angles – a characteristic physical shows have never fully been able to give the audience.

Imhof and Tisci will together aim to combine fashion and art in a way we have not yet seen. Delving into tensions of intersections of tradition, looking at natural versus man-made and the juxtaposition of real and fake, our first look of the Burberry spring-summer 2021 collection is sure to give us something radically different and innovative.

Burberry SS21 show will be available to watch from the brand’s Twitch account on Thursday 17 September 2020 13:00 BST
