Heron Preston unveils his second collection for Calvin Klein

A NEW collection should evolve from the last. Or as Heron Preston puts it “A new expression of shared principles”. Referencing his passion for streetwear with the foundations of creating wardrobe essentials, the designer’s second collection as creative consultant for Calvin Klein takes the idea of utility and sees it through a modern lens.

Adding depth to the classics by playing with texture and colour ensures that the aim of evolving is met. Sustainably sourced materials debut this season while overstated simplicity with the touch of the recognisable orange detailing return to Preston’s CK look.

With autumn with us now, the collection is built on layering; from thermal knits and puffer to straight-leg sweatpants and long-sleeved crop tops.

“For Fall, it was about introducing new materials and dissected, timeless essentials that are interesting” explains Preston. “We thought about how Calvin Klein shows up in the world, in a modern way. What I love most about Season 2 is the versatility of each piece and the different styling options through layering the layering that we designed into the collection”.
