Louis Vuitton expands to makeup with La Beauté Louis Vuitton

ANNOUNCING an inevitable new chapter for the storied House, Louis Vuitton is set to expand into the beauty sector in Autumn 2025 with the launch of La Beauté Louis Vuitton.

Spearheaded by Dame Pat McGrath, one of makeup’s leading voices in fashion, as its Creative Director of Cosmetics, the British artist will bring her expertise to create what they call a “lifestyle beauty experience that extends beyond products”.

Speaking on her appointment, McGrath shared: “Working backstage for over 20 years at Louis Vuitton fashion shows, I am thrilled to now play such a key role in the launch of La Beauté Louis Vuitton, which is the result of extraordinary craftsmanship, creativity and innovation.The beauty universe is about so much more than just product, and what we are creating here will unlock a new level in luxury beauty.”

Looking at the French brand’s past and its rooted history in travel, Louis Vuitton has embraced this market for years with its vanity cases that house toiletries, cosmetics and perfumes.

In their archives they uncovered powder compacts, brushes and mirrors that they released during the 1920s, and from 1925, they found two exceptional creations by Gaston-Louis Vuitton: Le Milano, which was a bespoke kit designed for soprano Marthe Chenal; and a toiletry case for Polish composer and pianist, Jan Paderewski.
