Clase Azul welcomes its newest Tequila

LAUNCHING this week, Clase Azul – the Mexican luxury house known for its exquisite spirits – introduces its newest addition: Clase Azul Tequila Blanco Ahumado.

Joining the brand’s existing lineup of five tequilas and mezcals, this un-aged tequila offers a distinctive smoky profile with notes of agave, fresh plum, and red apple, complemented by subtle hints of lemon. It finishes with a fresh, silky smoothness.

Crafted using traditional methods and the artisanal mastery for which the brand is renowned, the production begins by cooking blue agave with firewood and volcanic rocks—a process that imparts the spirit’s unique character. The agave is then shredded and fermented using Clase Azul’s proprietary yeast, before being double-distilled in custom-made copper stills.

The ornate bottle design pays tribute to this meticulous process: its semi-opaque glass evokes the smoke from the cooking stage, while the textured base reflects the volcanic rocks used to prepare the agave cores.

Clase Azul Tequila Blanco Ahumado is available exclusively at Selfridges in a 750ml bottle priced at £325, presented in a collector’s case to celebrate its debut—available while stocks last.
