British brand ME+EM launches collection for in-between days

BRITISH brand ME+EM makes clothes for women with things to do and places to be. Founded by Clare Hornby, the label has been offering everything from sleek tailoring to elevated staples since launching in 2009.

With August here, the latest collection puts the spotlight on foundations. Think oversized jackets and coordinating trousers, joined by Italian wool suits, contour-cut blazers and modernised military styles.

This sits alongside some of the brand’s best staples, from slim knit vests and breezy wide-leg trousers to well-cut tees made for layering or wearing solo. The brand also looks to travel tailoring with tweed jumpsuits and midi dresses that are crafted in tactile fabrics with clean, easy shapes that carry well across cities, time zones and seasons.

Ending the lineup are classics that have been subject to an update incorporating dresses that play with print and proportion, blouses that mix lace with silk, and as summer rolls into autumn, of course, there’s corduroy in soft, muted pinks that work as well now as they will come September.
