Louis Vuitton opens The Wizard of Oz pop-up store in London


VIRGIL ABLOH’S first collection for Louis Vuitton will be available until October 25 at the London pop-up store. The exclusive 2000 sq ft space in Mayfair will celebrate the SS19 Men’s line, available by appointment only.

The visitor are invited to take a journey down The Wizard of Oz themed “yellow brick road” around the townhouse, where the key pieces from the collection are showcased in a room with opulent poppy fields and neon Louis Vuitton installations. The unique journey takes guests to experience the Abloh’s universe of camel-hued leather trench coats and embossed bags finished with ceramic chains.

The latest addition to the leather goods line includes the new version of Louis Vuitton “Christopher” backpack in natural leather, complemented with new styles such as the Monogram Soft Trunk and Utility Side Bag in embossed Monogram Taurillon.

In the spirit of the iconic musical fantasy, clothes are displayed in transparent boxes that shine with a rainbow of colours. Stepping at the intersection of streetwear and luxury, the collection includes a range of ready to wear, from hoodies to multi-coloured accessories, which are available to the immediate purchase. Other items, including tailoring, can be pre-ordered at the store.
