A hand cream not for the faint of heart

We like to think we’re generous to our family, friends and loved ones here at Glass. Hence when various sweet-scented beauty products land on our desk, we tend to donate them to some lucky recipient after reviewing them. But in the case of The House of Amouage’s new Interlude Hand Cream … no. Not a chance.

We’re being unapologetically selfish and for good reason. The rich floral chypre scent of Amouage’s Interlude  fragrance certainly packs a punch (those into more subtle scents should run for the hills). But it makes a pleasant change to be knocked for six by bergamot, frankincense and sandalwood than to be met with the usual plasticky floral “fragrance” that most hand creams emit.

The beautiful box containing it is another reason our spirits soared when this landed on our desk. Plus, our normally weatherbeaten hands were left impeccably soft in the bargain. The hand cream is part of The House of Amouage’s new Interlude Woman Bath and Body Collection which includes Bath and Shower Gel, Perfumed Soap, Body Cream (which comes in a fetching shell-shaped pot) and Body Lotion. If you like your perfume to knock you for six, then we suggest giving this collection a try – just make sure to lock them away when you’re not using them.
