Acclaimed cocktail bar Oriole opens in Covent Garden

THE ACCLAIMED cocktail bar, Oriole, is set to permanently reopen at The Yards in Covent Garden, at the end of August.

Following the success of the previous pop-up, PRELUDE by Oriole, this time the team will deliver the signature cocktails as well as a brand new à la carte menu created by chef Gustavo Giallonardo.

Bamboo Bar

Taking inspiration from Nikkei, Argentine-Italian and Mexican influences, the menu features plates from Hamachi tiradito with kimchi aguachile, lamb rump with spring greens and haucatay, (the Peruvian black mint), to Coconut tres leches with fig leaf sauce and coconut sorbet.

The venue features a plush basement bar, offering innovative drinks and dishes in a speakeasy-style setting with live jazz and world music. The new cocktail menu developed by Bar Director Samet Ali, inspired by the adventure-hungry oriole birds, combines a variety of different ingredients and techniques to create a unique experience. From Finca Filadelfia, a new take on espresso martini, to a brand new Rio Verde, a twist on tequila punch designed to share.

Oriole New Menu spread

The ground-floor Bamboo Bar will serve aperitivo-style cocktails and small plates, showcasing sherry and vermouth, as well as cocktails on the draught, such as Odyssey with Don Julio Blanco tequila, or Chincha Alta.

Rio Verde

Designed in collaboration with Daytrip Studio, the space includes bamboo ceilings, tropical murals, and classic banquettes establishing Oriole as a perfect day-to-night destination perfect for a casual night with friends or a romantic dinner date.
