Bottega Veneta to miss SS19 this September

EARLIER in June, Italian fashion house Bottega Veneta announced that Tomas Maier’s 17-year tenure at the brand would come to an end, and that he is to be succeeded by British designer Daniel Lee in July. Following this news, the house has announced today that it will not be presenting a SS19 collection in the upcoming Milan Fashion Week in September.

Bottega Veneta’s newly appointed Creative Director Daniel Lee

Lee will be presenting his first fashion show in Milan next February for the FW19 season. Previously employed as director of ready-to-wear at Céline and with experience at Balenciaga and Maison Margiela, Lee definitely has the potential to push the brand to new heights. Exciting times lie ahead, and if it means that we have to wait a season for it, then so be it, for it will certainly prove to be worth it.
