LAST week Chanel invited guests to come along and discover the Chanel AW16 Ready-to-Wear collection, and at the behest of Karl Lagerfeld himself, with everyone on the front row. “People complain that they can’t see the clothes because they are too far away, this season everybody is front row,” he declared.

The collections sees Lagerfeld revisit the allure and codes of the House in a very contemporary spirit. Watched by Pharrell Williams, Anna Mouglalis, Willow Smith, Isabelle Huppert and the Taiwanese singer Jay Chou, all from their seats, of course in the front row, they were no doubt able to not only see the clothes clearly, but some striking Chanel make-up looks too.

Skin was prepared with la solution 10 de Chanel and the face with Les Beiges Healthy Glow foundation to create a flawless complexion. The éclat lumiere highlighter face pen and correcteur perfection long lasting concealer were then used to accentuate the finer features.
Quilted eye looks for Chanel AW16. All make-up Chanel
Eyebrows, essentially, were created with La Palette Sourcils de Chanel and eyes a carefully constructed combination of Stylo Eyeshadow, beige doré (No. 157), les 4 obres, Tissé Essentiel (No.226), Obres Essentiel Midnight (No. 118) and Dimensions de Chanel Noir (No. 10).
Dark lines defined the eyes with Le Crayon kôhl noir (No. 61) and Le Crayon kôhl ambre (No. 62).
Pretty in pink – completing the Chanel AW16 spring looks
To complete the spring looks, a blush of Joules Contraste Angélique (No. 190) was applied to highlight the cheekbones and lips with both the rouge coco baume and rouge coco, Marlène (No. 458) and nails with la base, La Vernis monochrome (No. 522) finished off with le gel coat.
