Christian Dior Cruise Collection 2019

DIORODEO is the name of the Dior Cruise 2019 show that took place in one of the pearls of French heritage. Maria Grazia Chiuri, the artistic director of the prestigious maison, has chosen the Domaine de Chantilly, an equestrian centre, as the decor of this collection. In the center of the Domaine, in the stables dedicated to equestrian shows and art of dressage, Dior had set up a poetic carousel, sit atop of a marquee that gave the place a chic and bohemian atmosphere.

The show began with an equestrian demonstration and then with the arrival the models who walked around the manège. The parade took place in the rain, which brought to the show an otherworldly atmosphere. The theme of the show makes sense when the models paraded in equestrian silhouettes to make them seem like riders of the 21st century. In addition, Dior showed bohemian and romantic-inspired looks with the presence of their legendary tulle but in a contemporary and chic spirit structured by very wide leather belts.

Shades of beige, warm colours, leather and tulle paid tribute to the equestrian world by injecting a dose of modernity and lightness.
