Christmas gift special – Le Jardin Retrouvé says goodbye to single-use home fragrances

It’S been five years since Clara Feder and the son of founder Yuri Gutsatz, Michel Gutsatz, re-launched the 1970s French perfumery, Le Jardin Retrouvé – one of the first niche perfume brands. With sustainability at the forefront, the duo approached this project in the mindset of eco-responsibility.

A philosophy which was put into practise with the creation of their home fragrance line back in the summer of this year.

Le Jardin Retrouvé Scented Stem Diffuser

Their Scented Stem Diffuser challenges the disposable stereotype of home fragrances. They have eliminated the need for single-use reeds and throw-away glass bottles, to  create a more aesthetically pleasing, durable and eco-friendly replacement.

Crafted from fine Limoges pottery and embossed with a design of gingko leaves, the product is chic without leaving a heavy footprint on our planet. In practice, it works similarly to a traditional diffuser. A chosen infusion is poured from a refillable aluminium bottle into the pot, which is then absorbed by a porous porcelain stem and diffused into the surroundings. The stem is easily cleaned with rubbing alcohol.

The Scented Stem Diffuser is available in five fragrances – Tubéreuse Trianon, Rose Trocadéro, Cuir de Russie, Mousse Arashiyama and Osmanthe Liu Yuan. Glass loves Mousse Arashiyama, created by perfumer Maxence Moutte , and which has a heavenly rich green verdant moss fragrance.

However, the road to green doesn’t stop there, all five home scents available from Le Jardin Retrouvé are made from 92% natural ingredients. With Christmas fast approaching, why not put someone on the path to a greener home with this innovative alternative?
