Christopher Kane releases a Bridal Collection for 2021

CHRISTOPHER Kane has launched a new collection of bridal wear, following on from the brand’s debut line up last year. Though the guest list may be limited for now, with Christopher Kane’s chic and quirky collection, it’s almost irresistible not to feel a twinge of anticipation for the gentle chime of wedding bells and warm summer days.

The new collection is intended for the modern woman, someone who is seeking a wedding dress that is beyond the traditional princess gown. “A Christopher Kane bride is someone who has the strength of character to do whatever they like on their wedding day. They don’t feel pressure to conform to the traditional sartorial rules,” notes Christopher and Tammy Kane.

The collection features feathers in abundance, adorning cuffs and necklines, trimmed along a veil and the hem of an asymmetrical dress. A cashmere knit is embellished with a delicate crystal fringe, which also frames and swings from the open shoulders of another gown.

Finely detailed lace is used for an entire form-fitting dress and a structured corset sewn into a pleated skirt. Also incorporated is trousers, large opalescent pearls and what appears to be the contemporary iteration of a ruff, a delicate chiffon-like fabric loosely ruched around the neckline of a dress.
