Dior Pays Homage to the Bow for SS26 Capsule

FOR Spring/ Summer 2026, Jonathan Anderson has placed one of Dior’s most enduring signatures – the bow – at the centre of an entirely new line.

The motif dates back to the House’s very first collection in 1947, when Christian Dior established the bow as a defining emblem of his aesthetic vision. Rooted in 18th-century references, Anderson revives it not merely as decoration, but as a structural element of the collection, weaving it through both accessories and ready-to-wear pieces.

The Lady Dior, Dior Cigale, Dior Bow and Dior Petit Dîner bags all adopt the bow as a distinctive signature, as does the House’s small leather goods. On footwear, the Dior Bow and Dior Cœur shoes translate the motif into something at once poetic and graphic.

The bow extends further still. Victorian collars take inspiration from the bow tie, while the Teddy-D and D-Smash headpieces render it in metal and fabric. The Mister Dior barrette and Dior Zigzag silk headband offer more delicate reinterpretations, and sculptural buckled belts carry the theme through to jewellery and sunglasses.

The result is a cohesive line that fuses Dior’s heritage with Anderson’s own sense of playful rigour, a joyful and considered tribute to one of fashion’s most quietly powerful gestures.
