Elie Saab, the London College of Fashion, and the Lebanese American University have joined forces to launch the Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design in Beirut, as part of an effort to encourage world class fashion design in Lebanon.
The course will support students in creating collections which are both relevant to Arab culture, and international in scope. LCF will oversee implementation of the program by delivering curriculum, consultancy and quality assurance services to LAU.
“The vision behind LAU’s fashion design program was to offer the region’s students an education of the highest possible international standards without having to travel too far from home. I am pleased with the agreement, which is a major step toward creating a regional hub for talented designers,” said Elie Saab.
The first year of the BA Fashion Design at the Lebanese American University will commence in September 2014.
