Fendi Design District boutique at Design Miami 2019

THIS YEAR’S annual global forum for design Design Miami has once again come to its end. While the event brought many distinguished designers, curators, artists, and critics from all over the world, Fendi Design District boutique has definitely stood out with its presented installations this year.

Roman Molds at Design Miami 2019

Italian luxury house Fendi once again brought its A game to Miami 2019: not only it displayed its installation of Roman Molds furniture design pieces, but it also released a brand-new collection of Scented Baguette handbags. Unveiled during the Miami event for the first time, the Roman Molds collection consists of several items of furniture and was designed by Zurich-based studio Kueng Caputo. Minimalist and innovative, this collection will later decorate the exterior of Fendi’s headquarters of Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana.

FendiFrenesia Scented Baguette and Nano Baguette

The main highlight of Fendi at Miami was undoubtedly the house’s release of Scented Baguette collection FendiFrenesia, created in collaboration with French perfumier Maison Francis Kurkdjian and Swiss-Canadian artist and photographer Christelle Boulé. The scent for the bag was produced according to Kurkdjian’s patented technique, while the bag’s print was created in the photography studio of Boulé. Coming in two sizes, FendiFrenesia Scented Baguette and Nano Baguette, this new variation of a classic ‘it’ bag was definitely a hit of Miami Design Week.

“I come every year and I love it very much,” commented Fendi creative director Silvia Venturini Fendi during the event. “I remember the first time I arrived 12 years ago, when we first supported Design Miami, this district didn’t exist. So, it’s really amazing how this happened, how a city can be changed thanks to creativity.”
