Fendi’s versatile Siesta bag blends subtle aestheticism with playful functionality

BAG lovers, rejoice! The Fendi Siesta bag, unveiled during the men’s AW24 catwalk, is a luxuriously soft take on the duffle bag silhouette. Convertible to a flat pillow-like shape through the ring closures on the four corners, this bag combines highest workmanship with a fun twist.

Available in three sizes – large, medium and small – the Fendi Siesta bag relishes a sense of homely sophistication with its soft silhouette and essential yet functional design. Versatility meets craftsmanship in the Selleria versions that celebrate this 100-year-old Fendi signature, with the macro stitching going around the body of the bag with up to 570 stitches on the large size.

This version of the Fendi Siesta bag is embellished with a silver tag with its own serial number and the Italian wording “Fendi Selleria – Lavorazione a mano – Serie numerata”  (Fendi Selleria – handmade craftsmanship – numbered series), as well as the year this workmanship was introduced, 1925.

The colour palette of the Selleria versions ranges between earthy tones of coal, forest green and warm beige, further emphasising the natural grain of the leather. Another remarkable version is crafted from the Fendi Eclissi fabric, a tobacco-coloured iconic FF jacquard with handmade colour gradient and black leather details.

With its spacious interior compartment, the Fendi Siesta is a timeless bag with practical details. The two handles are complemented by a long leather shoulder strap, to carry it flat like a pillow – as seen on the runway – or on the shoulder as a duffle bag.
