Filippa K promotes sustainable innovation with new capsule collection

EMBRACING a circular design process which aims to combat excessive textile waste, Filippa K’s latest capsule collection unites two frequented partners merging Italian craftsmanship with Swedish sustainable innovation.

The limited four-piece drop is a window into a future industry, one which instead of incinerating unused textiles reinvents them into new fabrics, minimising the demand on natural yarns.

The house began by introducing Italian fabric mill Beste to that of Swedish sustainable tech scale-up Renewcell. By donating waste to the latter, fabric from the mill is transformed into a versatile textile named Circulose – of which has been used to create two pieces from the capsule: the Cropped Jacket and Henry Unisex Trouser.

Filippa K’s renowned Swedish Wool also returns in the form of a striped cable knit jumper, a continuation of a brand tradition which has been about since 2019. The 100% Swedish wool sweater represents the brand’s award-winning supply chain initiative, further emblematic of their fantastic ethos.
