Glass presents a new episode of Dior Talks

THE third instalment of the Dior Talks podcast series The Female Gaze has launched with the intention of highlighting the photographers, friends and collaborators who focus on femininity when capturing Dior collections.

Brigitte Lacombe for Dior’s The Female Gaze

Photographer Brigitte Lacombe has spent nearly forty years taking pictures of some of the greatest creatives, from artists to actors to intellectuals. In this segment, journalist Charlotte Jansen converses with her, speaking about the singularity and the process of creating portraits – her signature style of capturing individuals in a refined and natural manner.

She explains that she trusts her instinct when behind the lens creating a personal dialogue. For Dior’s spring-summer 2017 campaign, Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s commissioned Lacombe for her first shoot at Dior to capture twins Ruth and May Bell – the campaign illustrated the power of sisterhood which can be revisited in the future. Additionally, in the podcast Lacombe delves into her own inspirations from Lee Miller to Dorothea Lange.
