Glass previews Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia

LIVERPOOL International Festival of Psychedelia will return to this year for its sixth edition. Located in the warehouse district of the quirky Baltic Triangle, the festival will take place in three interconnected venues: Camp and Furnace, District and Blade Factory.

This year’s headliners are arguably the strongest with Texan psych rockers The Black Angels headlining the Friday night and Mali’s Songhoy Blues bringing their desert rock to the stage on Saturday night.

Joining a strong lineup of performers is former snooker player Steve Davis, who performed a memorable DJ set last year only to return again this year with musician Kavus Torabi djing alongside.

MARK MCGUIREPerformer, Mark Mcguire

Multi-instrumentalist and former member of Emeralds Mark Mcguire will perform his ambient solo material on Friday accompanied with a back catalogue of solo five albums under his belt independent from his band Emeralds.

Also playing are French five-piece Aquaserge, who’ve collaborated with psych giants Tame Impala, Stereolab and Melody’s Echo Chamber.
