Glass visits D. Thomas Clinic – sleek skincare in Chelsea

TAKING care of your skin often requires some high-tech wizardry. Facialist Debbie Thomas understood this early on, and the success of her eponymous clinic in Chelsea has in part been based on the brilliant gadgets that are available as part of the highly personalised procedures on offer.

Thomas, who started her career training with Danish skin guru Ole Henriksen, first got interested in laser treatments when working at a Harley Street clinic. However, whereas heading to an aesthetics clinic on Harley Street might still fill one with just a little bit of trepidation, a visit to Thomas’s clinic will certainly convince you of the benefits of a holistic skincare regime that might include just a bit of machinery.

When Glass recently stopped by for a treatment, we were immediately drawn to the chic interiors and glamorous ambiance of the salon, which occupies a very fancy residential street just a few moments from Harrods. Don’t be put off, though – everyone is lovely and welcoming, and you don’t feel at all intimidated when looking at the treatments available. Thomas has built her skincare menu on her signature DNA treatments, an embodiment of her approach and philosophy. It’s a three-tier system that features the Essential Skin treatment, Laser Complete and Ultimate Laser. Depending on how far you’re looking to go, in relation to your immediate beauty concerns and long-term care plan, you can pick and choose precisely what is best for your skin at the time.

During our visit, we tried the DNA Essential Skin Treatment – a fantastic facial to start with when you’re new to the facial game or looking to advance your current regime. The therapist carried out a thorough skin examination and suggested a few things to tackle pigmentation and dullness. As well as cleansing, exfoliation and masking, the treatment incorporated a couple of fabulous tech tools that pumped oxygen into the skin and created rejuvenation through microcurrents. It would be truly difficult to go without these cutting-edge additions in the future, especially given how fantastic the results were. Skin was left super clean and glowing.

Debbie Thomas has really hit the nail on its head when it comes to sleek skincare treatments that are fantastically effective. If you can book yourself in with Thomas herself, you would be lucky, given the number of stars who flock to her. Thankfully, she has a brilliant team, all of whom have excellent industry knowledge and extensive experience with a variety of clients. The real beauty, of course, is how tailored each treatment is to the individual client. Truly one of a kind.
