Issey Miyake 2015 holiday accessories collection

For the holiday season, the Japanese designer Issey Miyake is mixing art, fashion and culture into one limited edition collection, which will be sold across 12 stores in Asia, Europe and the US.

Drawing inspiration from photographs that depict everyday scenes from Tokyo, Paris, London and New York, Issey Miyake uses a colour palette extraction technology, known as Omoiiro, to create accessories that convey the general feeling, attitude and warmth of these four cities. The result is a very interesting collection that includes bags, necklaces, corsages and stoles with a distinctive curvy flow.

In order to promote the collection, a special Record-themed website has been created, enabling the user to not only view the products but also reflect memories or enjoy a virtual trip to these iconic cities through video footage and calming, everyday sounds of each city life.

The visitors can also wake their creative side by mixing music as they wish or just relax after a busy day while listening to the music that represents each metropolis.

The collection will be available at the designer’s boutique store at 10 Brook Street, London, W1S 1BG
