OVER-the-top designs is a theme that House of Holland swears by with his eccentric and jovial pieces over the years. This season at London Fashion Week, Henry Holland spilled colour on the catwalk for his SS19 Collection.
For those who do their makeup on the tube or don’t have time to dry their hair, or for those who are simply always in a rush, the show titled Pull in Emergency was a hymn to the busy life of modern women across London. An active collection that was designed for the fast and frenetic pace of everyday life. Taking inspiration from the urban sportswear and multifunctional garments of the colourful ‘80s.
To a rippling bass of boisterous tunes, models marched the runway with wet hair creating a sense of urgency and panic. Reflective of the true essence of a busy woman in the city. Whilst styled in double denim, parachute parkas, snazzy suits, and neon tracksuits. Completing the collection, Holland includes the ideal evening wear, encrusted with sparkly Swarovski crystals for when you have that office meeting at six but after work drinks at eight.
In a bare warehouse with nothing but brick walls, Holland designs brighten the room with the loud clashes of orange, purple, blue and yellow and the bold Out of Order graphic tops, forcing eyes to look nowhere else.
In this capsule collection of acidic colour bursts and trans-seasonal fits, Holland develops a practical, urban-fresh look for the girl who is always on the go.
