Meet the Botaniques

Baby it’s cold outside. And it’s wreaking havoc on our skin. There isn’t a woman out there who isn’t raiding their beauty cupboards in search of a beautifying pot of wonder to combat dull, tired and weathered skin. Cue the Botaniques collection, courtesy of Anne deMamiel.

The renowned well-being expert, aromatherapist and acupuncturist believes that skincare is far more than a superficial treatment; it’s the chance to renew the skin and to rejuvenate the self, too. Inspired by the healing energy and skin-perfecting potency of her facial treatments, Mamiel uses essential oils in powerful aromatherapeutic blends for the new range.

Mood-boosting and balancing flower essences are married with organic and fair trade ingredients thus creating a sensorially uplifting experience that reminds us to slow down and to take the time to look after ourselves. The skincare offering ranges from a powder-to-paste exfoliating cleanser to a salvation body oil, which are gentle enough for daily use.

If we had to choose one hero product from the range, it would have to be the Restorative Cleansing Balm. With its blend of anti-bacterial manuka honey and nourishing kukui, calendula and moringa oils, the formula cossets the skin and combats the effects of those pesky free radicals. Not to mention the wind, rain and snow… After all, the face is one area we don’t wrap up so well – unless you fancy wearing a balaclava.
